Resources for Musicians and Industry Workers Impacted by the L.A. Fires

  • Music Cares is helping the music community in affected areas recover. Please encourage your music industry colleagues and friends that have been impacted by the fires to contact MusiCares, now and in the weeks to come. They can consider emergency funds related to evacuation and relocation costs, instrument replacement/repair, home damage, medical care, mental health services, & other essential living needs. Reach out for help: MusiCaresRelief@musicares.org or 800.687.4227.   • The Entertainment Community Fund has opened applications for financial relief for all performing arts and entertainment professionals. The application will ask you to upload a list of documents but if you do not have access to these documents, you are allowed to upload a blank file. https://entertainmentcommunity.org/am-i-eligible-help 

  • The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund is accepting donations and applications for musicians and music industry workers impacted in Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. Financial relief will go toward the loss of equipment, medical bills from the resulting events, and living expenses. Grants will be issued by the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund to those who have received at least 50% of their income from the music industry for at least three years. Applicants must show proof of employment, a biography (or a resume or discography) and documentation of loss and destruction. https://www.sweetrelief.org/naturaldisasterfund.html 

  • The Inevitable Foundation, a non-profit working to close the disability representation gap in the entertainment industry, has re-opened their Emergency Relief Fund to directly support disabled creatives impacted by the crisis. This includes destroyed homes, unforeseen evacuation costs, negative health impacts, and lost employment as a result of the ongoing fires.

  • The We Are Moving The Needle Microgrants Wildfire Relief Fund supports early and mid-career producers, engineers, and creators who have lost studio space or gear due to the Greater Los Angles Wildfires.   • The 100 Percenters - LA Wildfire Relief Fundraiser to benefit professional songwriters, producers, artists and music professionals. The fund will provide immediate grants up to $2,500 for housing, transportation and essentials; support rebuilding efforts with grants of up to $10,000 to replace equipment and “restore creative spaces”; and offer mental health support with grants of up to $2,000 for counseling and wellness services. 

  • The Black Music Action Coalition - The coalition announced a relief fund with a focus on Black residents and small businesses in the L.A. area The organization will disperse 100% of monies received.

  • CERF: Craft Emergency Relief Fund - offers $3,000 Emergency Relief Grants to craft artists who experienced a recent and substantially disruptive emergency or disaster. Covers studio repairs, replacement tools, lost income.

  • Guitar Center - Guitar Center is offering instrument replacement assistance for musicians who lost gear in the LA fires.

  • Good Boy Records - LA based Good Boy Records is offering free studio time in Studio City.

  • LA Housing -  Kevin Casini has compiled this list of hotels offering support to those displaced in Los Angeles. The list includes contact information, addresses, and pet policy details.

  • Music Health Alliance Mental Health Fund – MHA’s Mental Health Program provides complete and comprehensive, high-quality outpatient mental health resources, funding and follow-up to qualified music industry professionals. 

  • NAMM - has pledged $50,000 and is seeking donations. The fund will provide assistance to NAMM members, employees of NAMM member companies, music education programs and music professionals affected by the fires.

  • Newport Festivals Foundation - Newport Folk and Jazz are offering emergency grants to musicians, crews, and industry folks impacted by the fires.

  • Residents in Los Angeles County who’ve been ordered to vacate their homes can get a credit from Uber to get to an evacuation site. The $40 will only be valid for trips to an active shelter and by using the code “WILDFIRE25.” Lyft is also offering $25 vouchers, valid for two trips, to 500 customers from now until midnight on Jan. 15. Use the code “CAFIRERELIEF25” to get the promotion

  • The MALAN team is maintaining a list of resources available to those affected by the fires and will update it with new resources or calls for volunteers & donations.: Available Resources

  • The SoCal Fire Fund provides immediate and long-term support for community-centered recovery initiatives that aid students, school employees, and families impacted by the January 2025 fires. DONATE HERE

  • Baby2Baby is providing essential items such as diapers, food, formula, and hygiene products for children and families in Los Angeles in dire need. DONATE HERE

  • Pasadena Humane has taken in over 300 animals due to evacuations and have staff and volunteers working nonstop to help with their care. DONATE HERE

  • The CAA Foundation, Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Education Foundation have launched the SOCAL Fire Fund. The fund, administered by EIF, will provide immediate and long-term support for community-centered recovery initiatives that aid students, school employees, and families impacted by the January 2025 fires. Animal Rescue Resources

  • Pasadena Humane: Coordinates with animal control to evacuate animals and also working with shelters to take in animals of displaced families. By Wednesday, they had helped take in over 300 animals. https://give.pasadenahumane.org/

  • Residents in unincorporated communities can report urgent requests 24/7 by calling 800-675-4357.
